Fable 2 Lies
After playing Fable 2 for a little while and I quickly realized that the game box lied to me. On the back of the box it says “ROADS ARE FOR CHUMPS. Explore the landscape and openly roam the countryside in a world 10 times the size of the original Fable.” That is a complete lie. There are tons of limitations on your movement. I find that I have to stick to trails most of the time that I try to “Explore the landscape and openly roam the countryside.” There will be a tiny ledge that I can not “vault” over because there isn’t a safe landing spot on the other side.
It’s not a real free roaming game at all. I think that the only real free roaming game I have ever played was Morrowind. In that game you could go wherever you want. You could buy or make levitation potions and fly to any location you want. It was truly awesome and there were no invisible walls. Fable 2 is a wannabe free roaming game. It’s fun to play but i don’t think it’s big enough. Or maybe I did not get far enough in the game to experience the real exploring, but that was because the game glitched and would not let me advance. I did enjoy playing the game, but I feel that at the time, I enjoyed the first Fable a lot more than I enjoyed this one.
